Major duties include amongst other teaching Transport Planning, Land Use Planning, GIS and Remote Sensing, Statististic and Environmental Planning and Management modules both at the undergraduate and post-graduate levels; conducting tutorials, and supervising student’s research activitie.
2010
Research Assistant (part time). Assisted Professor Julian Hine in the School of the Built Environment at the University of Ulster with research on ‘Rural Transport for Older People in the North and South of Ireland – understanding and meeting their needs’. This research project was funded by the Centre for Ageing Research and Development in Ireland (CARDI). Major duties include organising and conducting focus groups across Northern Ireland, writing focus group report.
2008-2009
Teaching Assistant (part time). Assisted Dr Neale Blair and Prof Julian Hine in the School of the Built Environment at the University of Ulster, UK with teaching on Spatial Planning (Module code SUR326J1), and Sustainability and Spatial Analysis (Module code SUR311J1) Transport and Society module (Module code TRA502J1) modules . Duties include teaching GIS and transport planning, demonstration in GIS lab, and marking coursework.
2008-2009
Planning Consultant, Metro Makers and Developers Ltd, 25/2 Green Road, Dhaka – 1205, Bangladesh. Provided expert guidance on the preparation of planning and associated documents in order to obtain planning permission from the Dhaka City Authority (RAJUK) for the development of a new township (Modhumoti Model Town) located in the outer skirt of Dhaka City, Bangladesh.
